We’re carrying the banner this week on the DFPP, as the crew is joined by our first of many guests from TouringPlans.com, Henry Work, as we discuss Newsies. The cult classic by Disney has many admirers and detractors, but we go through it in depth with Henry as we kick off TouringPlans Month.
The DFPP crew are the best of friends, so we took to examining the Fox and the Hound, the recent Bluray/DVD re-release from Disney. Join us as we take a look at Tod, Copper, Chief and Vixey and their adventures through the woods. It’s an interesting look at society and more, with lots of implications for Disney.
Come with us to Passamaquoddy as the DFPP crew journeys to the small town where flim flam men steal people’s money, sailors return from the dead and invisible dragons warm your heart. It’s Pete’s Dragon, the heartwarming Disney tale with Mickey Rooney, Helen Reddy and Elliot, the world’s best Main Street Electrical Parade float.
This week the DFPP team flaps their arms like wings with their friend Tammy as they watch some pretty miraculous baseball being played all because some angels decided to help out the California Angles in the 1994 movie Angels in the Outfield.
This week, the entire DFPP team journeys to medieval England to attempt to pull Excalibur from the stone and become the true kings of England. Spoiler alert… none of us succeed. See what we thought of the film, however, as we tackle the 1963 Disney classic.
Boom, baby! The DFPP crew takes a groovy look at one of Disney’s funniest animated movies, The Emperor’s New Groove, with our special guest Amy Beth Combs. Come check out one of the Internet’s funniest people tackle this hilarious film, while the rest of the team sit back and enjoy the giggles.
Avengers Assemble! It’s time for the last film before The Avengers (opening May 4, 2012), as Marvel Studios (a subsidiary of Disney) releases Captain America: The First Avenger. The DFPP team joins the Howling Commandos and goes into battle with Cap for a tussle with the Red Skull. Join us for the star spangled fun.
This week, the DFPP crew learns how to wear a tiara, wave properly and generally act like Julie Andrews as we take a look at the 2001 Disney hit The Princess Diaries. This was the winner of our listener choice poll, so the person who suggested it, Ashleigh Kotrys from the Generation Mouse podcast, joins us for the show.
This week, the DFPP team heads to the Hundred Acre Wood to see Walt Disney Animation Studios’ latest releast, Winnie the Pooh. We’ll have some honey, chase a monster and laugh hysterically. Join the fun!
This week, the DFPP team taps the knob, twists it three times and head for the Isle of Naboombu and beyond with Angela Lansbury and David Tomlinson in Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Enjoy some great Sherman Brothers music, fine animation and more in this Disney classic.
